What is the purpose of God’s Greenhouse Preschool Ministry?

 

The purpose of the God’s Greenhouse Preschool ministry is to provide a safe, loving, fun and comfortable environment for both you and your children. To accomplish this mission, our workers will spiritually nurture,  teach, read, feed and play with the children to ensure they are content, learning and applying spiritual truths to their life.

 

The Preschool  ministry is made up of five classrooms: Infant, toddlers, 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds and 4/5-year-olds. Each class is staffed by a team of workers. The Sunday School team is committed to teaching children for an entire year while the Worship team is committed one Sunday per month or every other month.

 

God’s Greenhouse Preschool has an ID badge system that prevents anyone other than the individual who dropped off the child to pick up the child. As you sign in your child, you will be asked to place the ID tag on your child’s back and take the other portion with you. Please remember that a child will only be released to an adult with the authorized ID tag.

 

When dropping off your child, you will also need to sign in your child at the classroom so you can discuss any special instructions with Nursery workers.

 

Sunday Morning Preschool Ministry

 

The Preschool ministry is for children between the age of 2 and 5. The children in this room are cared for by adults and church youth. We feel this is a great training tool for church youth to learn how to minister and mentor the younger children in the congregation.

 

The children will learn a Sunday School lesson during the Sunday School hour. We currently use the Rock a Bye curriculum for the 2-year-olds, and we use the Discipleland curriculum for the 3,4 and 5-year olds. Each Sunday, we will use these curriculums to help children learn more about the Bible and key verses through fun, interactive and hands-on activities.  During the 11 a.m. worship hour, the children will also participate in Christian songs, bible lessons and activities.

 

We also encourage parents to discuss the Bible lessons with their children. Each Sunday, all children will be given an information sheet that offers recommendations on how children can continue to practice and learn their Bible lesson throughout the week.

 

Unless otherwise instructed, snacks (all egg and nut free snacksand water) will be provided to the children during the Sunday School hour.

 

Preschool Friends Small Group

 

The Preschool ministry on Wednesday evenings is for Birth (six weeks) through 4/5-year olds. On Wednesday nights, the children participate in a hands-on Bible lesson and a special activity.

 

Special Activities

 

Throughout the year, we have Children’s Ministry events for families with children (birth to 5th grade). We enjoy such things as Easter Eggstravangza, VBS, Camp Notalotofwoods, and other various ministries.
