The CDC exists to provide, within a Christian atmosphere, opportunities which meet the educational needs of the early childhood years and emphasizes growth in all areas—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
We are a three star facility and are proud to hold the Gold Sneaker designation denoting our commitment to healthy foods and physical activity. We use High Reach curriculum, which is aligned with standard performance indicators for kindergarten to ensure we are preparing our students for the next phase of their lives.

- Serving one to five year olds, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Three Star Facility.

- "Field Trips" to enhance our learning- we stay on site safe and sound and the “field trip” comes to us! Past visitors include the Tennessee Aquarium, Creative Discovery Museum, Chattanooga Zoo and Kids On The Block.
- Chapel Twice Per Month
- Optional (Onsite) Soccer Shots & Chattanooga Dance Theatre Programs

MEET THE DIRECTOR
“Greetings! I am Delane, and I became the Director of the Hixson UMC Child Development Center in October 2016. I am delighted with the opportunity to step into this calling to lead the CDC.
I have many years of experience and training in childcare, and was the director of another Three Star facility for several years before coming to HUMC CDC. Before leading that facility, I was the owner and director of a successful private childcare center.
I would love the opportunity to talk with you and to give you a tour of our wonderful school!”
