Agape Class: The Agape Class is a contemporary adult fellowship class consisting of married couples ages 40-50+. It is an open discussion format using biblical topics relating to family and social relationships, current events and practical Christian living and application. Meets in Room C-6

Bible 101: The Bible 101 consists of people aging 30-50+. It is primarily a Bible Study group focusing on “Back to the Basics” Bible teachings. The goal is to equip individuals, enabling them to read scripture without any fear. Meets in Room C-5

Cornerstone Class: The Cornerstone Class seeks to grow in faith and understanding by promoting open discussion of Christian principles for living. Various class members facilitate class discussion of subjects of their own choosing. Ongoing Christian service projects include adoption of the Williams Cottage at Bethel Bible Village, financial support to Room in the Inn, and short term projects such as a recently donated display case to the church for the purpose of publicizing the work of missionaries directly supported by HUMC. Fellowship Class: The Fellowship Class seeks to grow in its faith through a book by book discussion of the Bible. Our class is taught by various volunteer members on a rotation basis. Our class moves through the Word at our own pace that includes open discussion including our own personal situations in relation to what we are studying. Our class participates in mission projects of the church as well as projects identified by our class through the local community or other groups around the world. Our class is diverse in age and opens its arms to all who would like to fellowship in Christ. Meets in Room C-4

Friendship Class: The name says it all…Friendship! This class is a caring group of couples and singles, generally over 40. The class has been led for more than 30 years by Dr. Joe Prince in a study of the Bible. Each Sunday morning is a time filled with learning, laughing and loving. Group members also participate in a number of social events throughout the year. Meets in the Friendship House

Great Expectations: “Faith, Family and Fellowship!” Most members of Great Expectations are couples 30-40 with young children. Study material is chosen by the class and includes both book and Bible study with an emphasis on making faith relevant and relational. Great Expectations is active in missions inside HUMC and the community. Members have many opportunities to create friendships during social events throughout the year. Meets in Room G-17

Journey Class: Our newest Sunday School class, Journey is made up of “20-30 somethings.” both married couples and singles. This class focuses on how to build lives on a Christian foundation. In addition to gathering on Sunday mornings, other social and mission activities are planned. Meets in the Parlor, Room 210

Joyful Noise Class: We study and learn about the hymns and songs of our faith, looking at the scriptural basis, doctrine, and faith tenets found in the songs we sing each week. While the class was created to help those choir members who may not have been able to find a regular Sunday school class, anyone interested is always welcome! Meets in the Choir Room

Ladies Solo: The Ladies Solo class consists of adult female’s ages 30-50+ who are single, widowed, divorced or whose spouses do not attend Sunday school. The class is Bible based with a discussion format. Meets in the Prayer Room (111)

McConnell Class: The McConnell class has the distinction of being one of the longest existing classes in the church. It is primarily made up of singles and couples ages 55+ and uses studies from the International Bible Lesson Series. In addition to quality teaching, this class enjoys a worship and fellowship time and supports a wide variety of mission projects. Meets in the Chapel

New Beginnings Class: The New Beginnings Class functions as an extended family for single men and women. Doug Kutz is the teacher. Our lessons are from Adult Bible Study Quarterly, and our discussions are informal and over coffee. We maintain an active program of outreach, missions, and social events. Meets in the Conference Room (110)

New Hope Class: The New Hope group uses rotating teachers and a relaxed discussion format to focus on classical and contemporary issues of Christian faith and how the love of Christ affects our beliefs, our actions, our relationships, and our lives. Discussions are normally based on books that the group has selected to read. We seek to be a caring community supporting each other, our church, and our community, and our world. Christian service includes IHN, Kids Rock, help for and tutoring of refugee families, and financial support to missionaries in China, Honduras, and Sudan. Meets in Room C-2

Next Generation Class: The Next Generation class is made up of married couples (ages 35 and up) with children ranging from pre-school to post graduate. Our class is a discussion-type format and we study a variety of topics from books of the Bible, Christian books, to current events. Class members take turns teaching and we rotate on a quarterly basis. We enjoy socializing together 2 to 3 times per year, usually with our children included. Our on-going mission projects include providing supplies for the Ronald McDonald hospitality room at Erlanger and supporting Karen Rybolt on her mission trips. Our current short-term project is providing devotion Bibles for the teen MOPs on Mother's Day. Meets in the New Room

Revolving Door Class: The Revolving Door class is a Bible study group committed to studying God’s Word. The make-up of the class is diverse and we have multiple facilitators. We seek to create a place where people with irregular work and family schedules feel comfortable in attending as their schedules allow. We support the various outreach missions of the church. Meets in Room 115

Upper Room Class: The Upper Room Sunday School Class uses the Adult Bible Study literature based on the International Lesson Series. Following a brief lecture by a teacher, a lively discussion evolves around the Scripture meaning and its application to daily Christian living. The class is strongly involved in several mission projects and a “Dinner Club” brings the class together each month for dinner and fellowship. Meets in Room 119

Wesley Class: People from diverse backgrounds who love the Lord and are devoted to studying the bible while encouraging open discussions. People dedicated to showing God’s love by serving others. Meets in Room G-16
