Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm, beginning in September
a new ministry from Jim Lewis, Director of Christian Formation
… train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things,
holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. ~1 Timothy 4:7-8
What is DeltA? DeltA is a way of training ourselves to have our Christian faith go from being something we do to something we are; something so deeply imbedded in our us that it's the only way we know how to be, day in and day out. It is an intentional journey in spiritual formation. Focusing on cultivating Christ-likeness in community, we open ourselves to a deeper connection with God, others, and our world, that we may together experience transformation in Christ.

DeltA means “change”
A Journey in Spiritual Formation... Our spirit is the most important part of who we are — shaping the way we see the world and ourselves, and directing the choices we make — and yet we rarely spend time developing our inner life. That's what spiritual formation is all about. It is a process, but it is also a journey through which we open our hearts to a deeper connection with God. As we take on the life of Jesus – become like him – we experience a richness in life and faith that is truly renewed day by day.
The process is simple...the results are life-changing!
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. ~2 Corinthians 3:18
… and Discipleship: The word discipleship and the word discipline are the same word. In the spiritual life, the word discipline means "the effort to create some space in which God can act." The great irony in our world today is that we are so filled yet unfulfilled, busy yet disconnected, all over the place but never at home, crowded, yet lonely at the same time. Our discipleship calls us to disciplined relationship -- the spiritual intention to create room for God (in faith), for each other (in community), and for the world (in action). It is in these relationships that we find LIFE! Through DeltA, you will be invited to journey together with other Christians towards a more disciplined life, offering one another mutual support, encouragement, and accountability.
Making our Mission a Way of Life!
