MISSION
Our purpose is to provide your child with a nurturing, safe and loving Christian environment where ideas are enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected. Our goal is to help children to love learning.
HOURS
Our program days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our hours are 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Early drop off and late pick up is available for an extra fee.
CHILDREN
Our program is for children ages 6 weeks through turning 3 before October 1st. We are open from 9:00am until 1:30pm on Tuesdays/ Thursday. We are not open through the summer. We will follow snow/weather closing for Hamilton Co. schools. Infants will stay in their room all day. We know that babies have their own schedules and we will meet those needs according to the parents request. We will only feed your child what you pack for them to eat. We will not make bottles for the child but you many add the powder to the bottle and let us know how much water should be added. When your child is 12 months and walking well they will be moved up to the toddler room. Our toddlers will use curriculum and have a scheduled lunch and nap time. These children will have gym time and be using the playground. They will also have a scheduled storytime, songtime and craft time. We are also happy to help with potty training when your child is ready. We want to focus on school readiness but we also will have chapel time. We will have a bible story and song each day.
CURRICULUM
We will be using Wonderfilled Weekdays curriculum that enhances the child’s learning experiences through a combination of activities, games, and songs.
PARENT AND TEACHER PARTNERSHIP
Will be be sending home a daily report for your child with information regarding diaper changes and eating. We will also send home weekly reports updating what we learned that week for reinforcement. It will discuss the lessons, songs, prayers and recommended reading. We will also send home monthly newsletters with upcoming events at our church for preschool and elementary ministries.
ENROLLMENT
In order to enroll, an enrollment form must be completed and $35 registration fee paid. The tuition is $110 per month per child. Active members of Hixson United Methodist Church will have first option to enroll their children and receive a $5.00 discount on tuition. Please call (423) 877-1246 ext 322 for more information.
