Elementary Summer Sunday School : Psalm 23

 

During the summer the elementary children are learning in large group/ small group format… The children are learning Psalm 23 and the importance it is in their life.

 

For the week of Sunday, June 26th the children will learn

• We are in God's Care
• He lets me rest in Green Meadows (Psalms 23: 2a)

Discuss with your children this week...

• What do kids worry about? What do you think adults worry about?
• How does worry make us feel?
• This week's verse tells us, "(The Good Shepherd) lets us rest in green meadows." What does that mean? That means we are in God's Care... We don't have to weighed down by our worries... Jesus invites us to set our worries down and rest.
• How is trusting Jesus a way to find rest?
• What is your favorite place to go when you want to feel peaceful?
• What can we trust God with this week?

Sample Prayer to pray with your kids: Dear Jesus, thank you for keeping us in your care. Thank you for teaching us what to do when we feel worried. When we see birds or flowers remind us we are in your care. Help us leave our worries with you and trust you to provide for us and give us rest. In your name, Amen.
