Why Jesus?

The key element that separates Christianity from all other world religions is Jesus Christ.  As Christians at Hixson United Methodist Church, we believe that Jesus is the only Son of God who came to earth to die for the sins of the world.

 

While Jesus lived among us he taught us how to live, how to have a relationship with God, and how to have meaningful relationships with those around us.

 

Jesus offers all of us unconditional love and grace. No matter how great our sins—and all of us are sinners—Jesus wants us to turn to him for forgiveness and peace.

 

Because he loves you, Jesus wants to have a relationship with you. He wants to be the one you turn to in good and bad times, and he takes an active interest in your life and future.

 

The abundant love that God offers us through Jesus Christ is the most wonderful gift any of us could ever ask for. And asking is all you have to do to receive forgiveness for your sins.

 

The believers who make up Hixson United Methodist Church praise God for his gift of love, and we are eager for everyone in our community to understand and receive this gift.
